Powder is sprinkled on the infected area, then a hoof bandage is applied. With the leg raised so that the hoofpadfaces upwards, powder is sprinkled on any hoof abscess/padcrush/stone gall and the spur (always to avoid “acid toes” under the bandage), on top cotton wool, then vet-flex (elastic bandage), finally e.g. tensoplast.
